My God is Higher
Malori's newest single, "My God is Higher", will be officially released on June 1st of 2019. Constructed as a prayer in the midst of a mountain climbing experience, the song details distress from a first person point of view, and the reliance and assurance that we ultimately have in the sovereign name of Jesus.
Released in early 2019, Malori's single, “Amazing One”, details the realization that human beings will never know the full extent of the beauty behind God’s plan. While experiencing one of the most trying years of her life, Malori began to see glimpses of how He had aligned things within that situation not just to remold and reshape her own heart, but for the hearts of others…and ultimately, for His glory. She was given the second verse of the song after reading 2 Timothy 4:17, where Paul says, “But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that the message might be preached fully through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear. Also, I was delivered from the mouth of the lion”. In that moment, The Lord and the song itself brought to light for her an entirely renewed view on trial—one that she felt lead to share with others.
“Where there’s something that’s refining, there is a story to take part in, and what appears to be my lion, could be for someone to confide in”.
Stand in Awe
“Stand in Awe”, Malori’s first EP release in six years, is a four song collection about triumph through Christ. Each song tells a redemption story through different circumstances—depression, salvation, self-realization, and of course, the wonder of God’s mercy that causes us all to “Stand in Awe” in his presence. After an uphill battle of self worth, Malori was granted the ability to be a vessel for these songs and was blessed with the opportunity to complete the project in mid-2018. It is her desire that these four songs would be used to help heal hearts, just like He used them to heal her own.
